Nurturing ideas
The project “SevenCordy - Tea of Innovation” by a group of students Tran Thanh Hieu, Le Huy Duc, Pham Thi My Dieu, Dang Ngoc Bao Tran and Tran Thi Kim Nguyen, Faculty of Biology - Agriculture - Environment, University of Education (University of Danang ), is a creative startup model combining Cordyceps and natural herbs, creating a set of compressed tea capsules “7 days - 7 flavors - 7 emotions”. The product aims to take care of health, balance the mind and inspire positive living.
SevenCordy brings a new tea experience with convenient compressed tea capsules extracted from cordyceps and familiar herbs such as lotus, ginger, cinnamon, artichoke, lavender... Each tea pack is attached with a QR code, opening up inspirational stories, music or podcasts, helping users relax and recharge.
With a reasonable price (49 to 59 thousand VND/combo of 7 pills), the product targets many audiences: students, office workers, middle-aged people and the gift market. The project aims at the value of "Health - Spirit - Environment", contributing to spreading the lifestyle of "Drinking healthy tea - Living healthy" and affirming the potential to become a personalized medicinal tea brand on a regional scale.
Student Tran Thanh Hieu shared that in the modern context, people have to face a lot of pressure from work, study, pollution and unbalanced lifestyle, the demand for health and mental care products is increasing. However, most of the products today are still industrial, lacking cultural and emotional elements. This project was born to start energy, relieve pressure, slow down, love yourself.
Regarding distribution strategy, SevenCordy chooses a flexible model, making the most of digital platforms to optimize costs and expand access: online (sales via TikTok Shop, Shopee, social networks); distribution at tea shops, pharmacies, spas, organic food stores, health fairs and universities; organizing tea tasting sessions, storytelling, brand connection at fairs, student booths, helping to create an impression and attract long-term users.
Meanwhile, the Economic Startup Club, University of Economics (University of Danang) currently has more than 100 members. This is an environment that helps students practice skills, cultivate knowledge and orient creative thinking, thereby maximizing their potential and arousing their passion for entrepreneurship. With a diverse range of activities, the Economic Startup Club is not only a place to nurture startup ideas, but also a launching pad to help students confidently embark on their future career journey.
For example, the Webinar “Starting a career or starting a business” - helps students orient their choices, understand their strengths and learn from experienced speakers; Workshop “Choosing a job - CV Training & Interview”, guides on completing job applications and participating in mock interviews with prestigious experts.
Head of the Economic Startup Club Dinh Thi Thanh Nga said that in the near future, the program “Neo-up 2025: Unfurl your wings” will be organized to realize potential ideas, help students practice skills, expand connections and find opportunities for personal development. Outstanding teams will be accompanied, advised and connected with potential investors by leading experts, contributing to bringing ideas closer to the real market.
In particular, the focus is on equipping students with knowledge and skills to start a business according to the “Business Model Canvas” model, helping to develop flexible and comprehensive projects. Neo-up 2025 focuses on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in business models - an inevitable trend of the new era. The main training topics include: lean startup, operational technology, finance, marketing and AI application in business.
Startup Incubation
At the University of Education (University of Danang), the “UED Startup Incubation” program was built with the goal of supporting groups of students and lecturers in the pre-incubation stage. The program focuses on equipping knowledge, skills and resources to help startup ideas develop into products and services with commercial potential.

In addition, it aims to establish and operate a pre-incubation model right at the school, while connecting the startup ecosystem through a network of businesses, experts, investors and support organizations. Thanks to that, project teams have the opportunity to be advised, test the market, expand cooperation and mobilize resources. The program also contributes to spreading the spirit of innovation in the student community through training activities, seminars, events and Demo Day.
The program attracted nearly 20 student groups with more than 50 members, from many diverse fields such as technology, education, environment, agriculture, food, medicine and digital economy. Some typical projects include: Superfood Copepods developing sustainable microbial food sources; LAVÉSKIN, a line of natural skin care products; multi-purpose enzyme cleaning solution, utilizing plant waste, aiming for a green and circular economic model.
According to Mr. Le Vu Truong Son, Head of the UED Startup Incubation Mission, developing a startup ecosystem in universities is a “launch pad” for the innovation spirit of students, which is meaningful both strategically and in practice. At the strategic level, universities are the center of the ecosystem - a place to produce knowledge, nurture the entrepreneurial spirit and connect social resources.
“This year, the quality of projects has increased significantly, reflected in both the entrepreneurial mindset and the level of readiness to enter the market. The groups have effectively applied the Business Model Canvas model, on the one hand shifting from the mindset of “making a product” to “solving a customer problem”; on the other hand, clearly defining the revenue model and expansion roadmap,” Mr. Son assessed.
