City leaders offer incense to commemorate Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ranh and heroic martyrs

(HTV) - The delegation led by Comrade Van Thi Bach Tuyet - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - offered incense and flowers at the National Historical Site of Nga Ba Giong, Hoc Mon District.

The national historical site of Nga Ba Giong is where the French colonialists previously built a shooting range to secretly execute revolutionary soldiers. The delegation observed a moment of silence, respectfully offered flowers and incense to express deep gratitude and commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and former Party leaders, compatriots and soldiers who sacrificed their lives to gain independence and freedom for the nation.

On the same day, the delegation also offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic Vietnamese mother, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Thi Ranh at the Mother's Memorial House in Phuoc Hiep Commune, Cu Chi District. Heroic Vietnamese mother Nguyen Thi Ranh is the President of the Association of Soldiers' Mothers and a political commissar of Phuoc Hiep Commune Team, who has contributed to raising cadres and soldiers during the years of resistance against the US. Her family had four generations participating in the war, eight of her sons and two grandsons were sacrificed.
