Quang Nam provincial leaders visit workers injured in explosion at SGI VINA magnet factory

According to the report, at around 9:30 a.m. the same day, a server explosion occurred at the surface coating stage at the SGI Vina factory, injuring 12 workers and taking them to Quang Nam Central General Hospital.

Tam Hiep Commune Police quickly arrived at the scene to handle the situation. Leaders of the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Zones of Quang Nam Province also came to inspect and visit the victims.

Quang Nam Central General Hospital said that 1 worker with severe burns of 60-70% is being treated intensively; 3 workers with burns of less than 10% and wounds are being cared for at the hospital's Trauma Surgery Department; 8 workers with multiple soft tissue injuries and heat-induced fainting have been treated at the Emergency Department and discharged.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung awarded 5 million VND to each seriously injured worker and 2 million VND to those with minor injuries. At the same time, he requested SGI Vina Company to ensure policies to care for workers and enhance labor safety to avoid recurrence of the incident.

SGI Vina Company's leaders commit to paying all treatment costs and providing appropriate support, ensuring workers' rights.
