Provincial leaders received the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Vietnam

On March 4, Comrade Pham Dai Duong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, received Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Vietnam during her visit and work in the province. Also receiving the delegation were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao My; leaders of the Departments of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Party Committee Office.

At the reception, Provincial Party Secretary Pham Dai Duong expressed his joy at welcoming Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo and her colleagues to visit and work in the province for the first time.

Introducing some general features of the geographical location, natural conditions, culture and people of Phu Yen province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Dai Duong emphasized: Although we are a small province, we have great determination and aspiration for development and have strived to achieve some positive results. At the conference to Announce the Planning and Investment Promotion of Phu Yen province in 2024 recently organized by the province, we introduced to foreign diplomatic agencies in Vietnam, international organizations, foreign business associations in Vietnam, as well as domestic and foreign enterprises and investors basic information about the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; introduced and promoted the potential, advantages and investment attraction orientation of the province. I hope that Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo will be a bridge to help the province in connecting and attracting South African businesses and investors to Phu Yen to explore cooperation and investment, especially in the fields of trade and tourism.

Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo expressed her thanks to Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Dai Duong, the provincial leaders and departments for the warm and thoughtful reception. The Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Vietnam said that when she came to Phu Yen , she immediately thought of the Eastern Cape province of South Africa because of the similarities in natural conditions and population; she will connect the two localities to cooperate in friendship and move towards a twinning relationship. Ms. Vuyiswa Tulelo also said that during this working trip to Phu Yen, she had gathered a lot of information about investment opportunities in the field of trade to provide to South African businesses, opening up opportunities for development cooperation for both sides.

On the same day, Comrade Ta Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of relevant departments and branches had a courtesy reception for the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Vietnam Vuyiswa Tulelo at the Provincial People's Committee headquarters. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan emphasized: Vietnam and South Africa have established diplomatic relations for more than 30 years and the relationship between the two countries is increasingly developing positively and effectively. Phu Yen province always respects and appreciates the traditional friendship between the two countries. In the coming time, Phu Yen province wishes to coordinate with the South African Embassy in Vietnam to invite South African investors to Phu Yen. The province also requested the South African Embassy in Vietnam to support promoting the image of Phu Yen to South African people and tourists.
