The Department of Agriculture and Environment has just sent a document to provincial departments, branches and sectors and the People's Committee of Ky Anh Town and Ky Anh District regarding the review and comments on 8 mineral areas for land leveling to serve investment projects in the Vung Ang Economic Zone.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Son - Deputy Head of Minerals Division of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee in reviewing and meeting the source of filling materials for investment projects in Vung Ang Economic Zone, the unit has reviewed, surveyed the field and selected 8 mining areas with potential for filling soil in Ky Anh district and Ky Anh town.
In the 8 mineral mining areas consulted, in Ky Anh district there are 3 mining areas, including the mining area in Ky Tho commune with an area of 21.36 hectares, the mining area in Ky Van commune with an area of 80.33 hectares and the mining area in Ky Tan commune with an area of 23.48 hectares.
In Ky Anh town, there are 5 mining areas, including the mining area in Ky Lien ward with an area of 29 hectares, the mining area in Ky Trinh ward with an area of 55.6 hectares, the mining area in Ky Phuong ward with an area of 22.8 hectares and 2 mining areas in Hung Tri ward with areas of 6.3 hectares and 56.21 hectares respectively.
“In order to have a basis to advise the Provincial People's Committee on the plan to grant mineral operation licenses in accordance with the provisions of law, the unit requests the above-mentioned departments, branches and localities to review and give opinions on the suitability and overlap between the mining areas and the projects, planning of the sectors and fields under their management and responsibility. The written comments will be sent to the unit before June 30,” said Mr. Le Anh Son.
Previously, on June 17, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha and the working delegation inspected the site of areas that could be used as quarries for filling materials to serve the investment project of constructing and trading infrastructure of Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park and investment projects in Vung Ang Economic Zone.
The provincial working group inspected the soil mine areas in Ky Tho and Ky Van communes of Ky Anh district; the soil mine areas in Ky Trinh, Ky Lien, Ky Phuong wards and Ky Hoa commune of Ky Anh town. The locations inspected by the delegation all have the potential for land leveling, 15-20 km from Vung Ang Economic Zone.
