Lotus Village Festival 'Homeland in Lotus Blooming Season'

On the evening of May 11, Nghe An province solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 2024 Sen Village Festival, on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, towards the 55th anniversary of the day Uncle Ho sent his last letter to the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, and 55 years of implementing President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that the annual Sen Village Festival has become an important political and cultural event.

Through this, people can understand more deeply his life and revolutionary career, contributing to further promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Promoting the tradition of patriotism, the morality of remembering the source of water, building great national unity for the cause of a rich people, strong country, democratic, fair and civilized society.

In particular, this year marks the 55th anniversary of the day Uncle Ho sent his last letter to the Party Executive Committee of Nghe An province, and the 55th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament.

There were four things Uncle Ho advised in the letter "What to do next", with the wish "I sincerely hope that the people and comrades of the province will strive to make Nghe An quickly become one of the best provinces in the North".

Uncle Ho's advice is a guideline, a source of motivation, a great source of strength for the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An to promote the revolutionary spirit, concentrate resources, overcome difficulties and challenges, to successfully carry out Uncle Ho's will, and soon turn Nghe An into a prosperous province in the North and the whole country.

Right after the opening ceremony was the art program "Homeland in Lotus Blooming Season" with three chapters: Lotus Blooming in the Night Sky , Vietnamese Sun and Homeland Singing Forever About Him, which were elaborately and uniquely staged.

According to the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An, the 2024 Lotus Village Festival will take place with many exciting and meaningful activities concentrated in Vinh City, Nam Dan District such as: Lotus Village Singing Festival with the participation of more than 600 artists and actors from 20 mass art troupes of districts, cities and towns.

The provincial volleyball and traditional martial arts tournament; the "Journey to Sen Village" Marathon attracting thousands of domestic and foreign athletes to participate... will be an opportunity to further introduce and promote the image of the homeland and people of Nghe An.
