"Growing up with tradition" festival takes place on International Children's Day

NDO - On May 31-June 1, in Hanoi, the festival "Growing up with tradition" organized by the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam in coordination with Hanoi Grapevine will take place at Ho Van cultural space, on the occasion of the Month of Action for Children and to celebrate International Children's Day (June 1).

Opening the series of activities of Heritage Weaving - Creative Weaving, the festival "Growing up with tradition" is not only a cultural event rich in identity, but also a space to meet, experience and spread the spirit of preserving - creating - developing cultural heritage in contemporary life.

The festival brings together many outstanding cultural, artistic and handicraft units in Hanoi's creative community, bringing traditional handicraft products such as La Khe traditional silk, artistic paper lanterns, Do paper paintings, etc.

Along with that is a series of attractive workshops for all ages, including: Cool Vietnam - decorating bamboo dragonflies and papier-mâché masks; Magic of Color - folk painting and making products from dó paper; Lamphong Studio - creative experience with lacquer; Hong Xiem class - unique printing with woodblock printing; Dragon Sigma - lacquer simulation experience; Slowbooks - reading the book "Walking in Time" and learning about traditional motifs; Cham Dó - coloring Dong Ho paintings on dó paper; Moc Mien Thi, Can Dai Dao Tri, Thanh Phong - with the workshop "Vanh khan nep toc" to experience hair wrapping, trying on Vietnamese costumes; D16 Creative Class - silk painting; Bana&Bibi - recycling old items; Qmosaic - combining art paintings with mosaic ceramics...

In addition to creative experiential activities and unique handicraft booths, "Growing up with tradition" also offers traditional music performances such as Xam, Ca Tru, and H'Mong flute, creating explosive moments amidst the bustling atmosphere of the festival season, where heritage and tradition blend together vividly.

Held at Van Lake, an important part of the overall Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam relic site, the festival space is open to the public for free and is designed with an open spirit, creating conditions for everyone to participate in experiencing, exchanging and learning about the heritage in a close and lively way.

Through a variety of experiential activities, the "Growing up with tradition" festival promises to be a colorful festival for children, thereby spreading national cultural pride to young people, inspiring creativity and encouraging the community to participate in preserving and promoting the values ​​of Vietnamese heritage.
