Deputy Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Ha Giang province, Ly Thi Lan, presented the certificate of announcement of the list of national intangible cultural heritage of the folk performing art of Hat Pao Dung of the Dao people in Ha Giang province to the Dao community in Tan Nam commune (Quang Binh).

The Fire Dancing Festival of the Pa Then people in Tan Bac commune, Quang Binh district was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2012. The Fire Dancing Festival demonstrates the strength, the process of working and controlling nature for human survival and development, not only having the meaning of connecting the community, but also preserving traditional cultural values from generation to generation. This year, the Festival was expanded in scale, with the participation of artisans representing the Pa Then community in 6 communes and towns in the district. Coming to the Festival space, people and tourists can visit and experience activities such as making croissant; weaving; brocade weaving of the Pa Then people; enjoying tea and visiting booths introducing typical and characteristic products of the district; immersing themselves in folk games, learning about rituals, ceremonies, and art programs imbued with the identity of ethnic groups.

The organization of the Pa Then Fire Dance Festival and the announcement of the list of folk performing arts of the Dao people's Pao Dung singing in Ha Giang province aim to preserve, maintain and promote the fine traditional cultural values of the ethnic groups. Thereby, promoting and introducing the unique cultural and tourism images of the province in general and Quang Binh district in particular to tourists, contributing to building a comprehensively developed culture and people, aiming at truth, goodness, beauty, imbued with the spirit of the nation, humanity, democracy and science, meeting the requirements of sustainable development of the country.
