Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month, Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2025

Attending the ceremony were representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, along with 200 union members and workers in Cho Moi district.

The launching ceremony of Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health this year was held in Cho Moi district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Vi Hong Duong emphasized that Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health are important activities, aiming to promote the role of trade unions in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, while raising awareness and responsibility of employers and workers in ensuring safety and hygiene at the workplace.

Over the years, Workers' Month has always been widely implemented by trade unions at all levels in Bac Kan province with many practical activities such as organizing visits and giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, or having work-related accidents; organizing "Union Meals"; periodic health check-ups; negotiating and dialogue with employers about jobs, wages, benefits and working conditions; organizing cultural and sports activities to improve the spiritual life of workers...

At the same time, the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health was also implemented synchronously and effectively. The propaganda and dissemination of laws on labor, social insurance, and occupational safety and health were promoted. Relevant sectors and units have coordinated to organize many occupational safety and health training courses, build and maintain a network of occupational safety and health workers, and implement the "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and health" movement at the workplace. These activities have contributed to raising awareness and responsibility of enterprises and employees, improving working conditions, protecting the health, life and property of employees, and the property of agencies, units, and enterprises, and building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

In 2025, Workers' Month will be launched with the theme "Vietnamese workers are pioneers in entering a new era"; Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health will have the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying hazards and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace". The implementation period of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health will be from May 1 to May 31, 2025 throughout the province.

The Organizing Committee gives gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

In order to promptly encourage the spirit and show the concern and care of the trade union organization for workers in difficult circumstances, at the launching ceremony, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 50 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND.

Within the framework of the Program, the Provincial Federation of Labor in coordination with the Trade Union of Hong Ngoc Production and Trading Company Limited Branch organized the "Union Meal" Program for workers and employees in the Company. This is an activity that demonstrates sharing, creates a warm and friendly atmosphere, contributing to building a close relationship between workers and enterprises and trade unions./.
