Schedule of stage 2 of SEA V.League 2025 - Graphics: AN BINH
The first leg of the SEA V.League 2025 concluded last week, with Thailand taking the title. Indonesia won the silver medal, while the Vietnamese men's volleyball team won the bronze medal. The Philippines finished fourth, while Cambodia finished fifth.
Coach Tran Dinh Tien's team had a not-so-favorable start, but improved with each match. This is a much better result than last year, when the team lost all 6 matches in the 2 stages.
In the second leg, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team still maintains its original lineup. Their first match is against Cambodia on July 16. This is an opponent with not very good form, so the Vietnamese team can aim for a victory to create momentum.
On July 17, the team will have to face host Indonesia. In both encounters in 2025, the Vietnamese team played well but both ended in narrow 2-3 losses. This time the difficulty will be even greater as Indonesia has home field advantage.
On July 18, Vietnam's opponent will be Thailand. In the first leg, coach Tran Dinh Tien's team was the only team to defeat Thailand.
On July 19, the whole team will rest and will play the final match against the Philippines on July 20.
With their current form, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team can hope to win a medal. They have improved significantly with each match. Coach Tran Dinh Tien has also begun to make more reasonable tactical adjustments. Hitters such as Ngoc Thuan, Quoc Duy, The Khai, Duy Tuyen have also regained their form.
