Vietnam women's team begins journey to prepare for SEA Games 33
Coach Mai Duc Chung and his team are expected to face many challenges in their journey to defend the gold medal in women's football at the 33rd SEA Games.
According to the match schedule at Chonburi Stadium, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will meet Malaysia on December 5, meet the Philippines on December 8 and close the group stage with a match against Myanmar on December 11.
Meanwhile, host Thailand has an easier time being in group A with Cambodia, Singapore and Indonesia.

In the 2 groups, the teams compete in a round robin to calculate rankings, selecting the top two teams in each group to enter the semi-finals.
The group stage takes place from December 4 to 13, the semi-finals on December 14 and the bronze medal match and final on December 17.
The matches were held at Chonburi and TNSU Chonburi (Thailand), with Chonburi being the venue for the semi-finals and finals.
The Vietnamese women's team is currently training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi) and will leave for Japan on November 20 to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.
