The 2025 AFC U17 Qualifiers have 43 teams divided into 10 groups to compete, including 7 groups with 4 teams and 3 groups with 5 teams. In which, U17 Vietnam is in Group I as the host with Yemen, Kyrgyzstan and Myanmar.
This is not a difficult group, but it is not easy for coach Cristiano Roland and his team. Therefore, in this training session, coach Cristiano Roland called up a few new faces to test their abilities.
Coach Cristiano Roland said: "In this training session there are some new faces and we will continue to evaluate, not just any player. The players must not only adapt to the playing style but also the training intensity. I will always choose the best players when finalizing the list"
According to the plan, the 2025 AFC U17 Qualifiers will take place from October 19-27. The 10 top teams from 10 groups along with the 5 best second-placed teams will join host Saudi Arabia in the final round.
Currently, U17 Vietnam is training in Hamamatsu province (Japan). During the training here, the team will have 3 friendly matches, respectively against Shizuoka University on October 3, Shizuoka Sangyo University on October 16 and Tokoha University on October 9. On October 10, coach Roland Cristiano and his team will return to Vietnam to complete the final preparations before participating in the 2025 AFC U17 Qualifiers.
