Northern representatives revealed for the National Student Basketball Tournament Finals

After more than 10 days of exciting competition, the Northern region qualifying round of the 2025 National Student Basketball Tournament - TV360 Cup has determined the excellent teams that won tickets to the final round.

From October 15 to 27, 2025, 56 men's teams and 32 women's teams from universities and academies contributed dozens of exciting matches at Phenikaa University Gymnasium ( Hanoi ). On the final day of competition, the stands were almost full as hundreds of students and basketball lovers cheered enthusiastically for the two men's and women's final matches, ending the emotional journey of the Northern region qualifying round.

Hanoi National University won the women's event

With impressive performance and a winning streak, the Hanoi National University (VNU) women's team was crowned champion after defeating Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE) with a score of 36-25. The second consecutive runner-up title also helped the HNUE women's team continue to affirm its leading position in the Northern student basketball community.

Vu Mai Anh (VNU) was voted the best athlete in the women's category, thanks to her stable performance and admirable competitive spirit.

University of Transport won the men's category

In the men's category, the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) defeated the University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (UEB), the defending champion, with a score of 60-48 to become the new champion of the Northern region. The UTC boys showed explosive play with a series of consecutive three-point shots right from the first half, creating a big gap and making the audience explode.

Nguyen Van Truong, who was honored as the best athlete in the men's category, contributed greatly to helping UTC become the first team to win the Northern region twice.

At the same time, the qualifying rounds in the Central and Southern regions are also taking place enthusiastically, gathering dozens of universities and thousands of students across the country. According to the organizers, the best teams will participate in the final round of the 2025 National Student Basketball Tournament - TV360 Cup, promising to bring top matches and spread the spirit of Vietnamese student sports .

In the men's category, the national finals will gather eight teams, including three representatives from the North, one from the Central region, three from the South, and the host Hanoi University of Science and Technology. In the women's category, six teams will participate, including two representatives from the North, one from the Central region, two from the South, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The tournament will take place from November 6 to November 16, 2025, at the basketball court of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The 2025 National Student Basketball Tournament - TV360 Cup is chaired by the Department of Physical Education (Ministry of Education and Training), co-organized with Max Sports Entertainment Joint Stock Company (MSE) and Viet Digital Content & Trading Joint Stock Company (Vietcontent).
