Northern representatives revealed for the National Student Basketball Championship Finals.

After more than 10 days of exciting competition, the Northern regional qualifiers of the 2025 National Student Basketball Tournament - TV360 Cup have determined the outstanding teams that have earned their tickets to the finals.

The atmosphere was electrifying at the Phenikaa University stadium.

From October 15th to 27th, 2025, 56 men's teams and 32 women's teams from universities and colleges delivered dozens of exciting matches at the Phenikaa University Gymnasium ( Hanoi ). On the final day of competition, the stands were almost full as hundreds of students and basketball fans enthusiastically cheered on the men's and women's finals, concluding an emotional Northern regional qualifying round.

Hanoi National University wins the women's category.

With an impressive performance and a winning streak, the Hanoi National University (VNU) women's team brilliantly claimed the championship title after defeating Hanoi Pedagogical University (HNUE) with a score of 36-25. This second consecutive runner-up title also helps the HNUE women's team further solidify its leading position in Northern Vietnam's student basketball scene.

Vu Mai Anh (VNU) was voted the best athlete in the women's category, thanks to her consistent performance and admirable competitive spirit.

University of Transport and Communications takes the lead in the men's category.

In the men's competition, the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) defeated the University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (UEB), the defending champion, with a score of 60-48 to become the new champion of the Northern region. The UTC boys displayed explosive play with a series of consecutive three-point shots right from the first quarter, creating a large lead and causing the stands to erupt in cheers.

Nguyen Van Truong, who was honored as the best athlete in the men's category, made a significant contribution to helping UTC become the first team to win the Northern region championship twice.

At the same time, the Central and Southern regional qualifiers are also underway, bringing together dozens of universities and thousands of students nationwide. According to the organizers, the best teams will participate in the 2025 National Student Basketball Championship Finals – TV360 Cup, promising to deliver high-level matches and spread the spirit of Vietnamese student sports .

The UTC boys showed great form to defeat the defending champions in the decisive match.

In the men's category, the national finals will bring together eight teams: three from the North, one from the Central region, three from the South, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology – the host institution. In the women's category, six teams will participate: two from the North, one from the Central region, two from the South, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The tournament will take place from November 6th to 16th, 2025 at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology basketball court.

The 2025 National Student Basketball Tournament – ​​TV360 Cup is chaired by the Department of Physical Education (Ministry of Education and Training), in collaboration with Max Sports Entertainment Joint Stock Company (MSE) and Vietcontent Joint Stock Company.

TV360 is the main sponsor, partnering with British University Vietnam (BUV) and Phenikaa University – the host of the Northern regional qualifiers.
