The Thairath newspaper exclaimed: "The organization of the SEA Games in Thailand has been plagued by numerous errors regarding the national flags of participating countries. The first incident occurred on the official SEA Games Fanpage when the women's football schedule was posted."
"Regarding this error, it relates to the match between Indonesia and Thailand, but the national flags of Laos and Vietnam were used. This incident has caused widespread criticism from all over."

The latest flag mix-up occurred today: A number of countries had their national flags misspelled (Screenshot).
Then, during yesterday's opening ceremony (December 9th), another mistake occurred when the SEA Games organizing committee introduced the former host country (SEA Games 19 in 1997 in Indonesia), but mistakenly used the Singapore flag instead of the Indonesian flag,” Thairath added.
Most recently, the mistake is no longer happening in isolation, but simultaneously across multiple countries. Many teams have had the wrong national flag displayed at the same time.
Thailand's leading daily newspaper reported: "In the latest schedule for the 3x3 basketball event, the matches in Group B are as follows: Malaysia vs. Laos and the Philippines vs. Vietnam."

"However, the national flags of the Vietnamese and Laotian teams were mistaken for Indonesian flags. And the national flags of the Malaysian and Thai teams were mistaken for Thai flags," read the Thairath newspaper.
Meanwhile, the Daily News, in its section highlighting flaws in yesterday's opening ceremony, recalled: "In a video replaying memories of previous SEA Games, when mentioning the 1997 SEA Games hosted by Indonesia, the production team displayed the Singapore flag instead of the Indonesian flag."
"The presentation of the map of Vietnam was incomplete. Vietnamese media reported that the presentation omitted the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, which are sovereign territories of Vietnam," Daily News reiterated.
The SEA Games organizing committee keeps making mistakes and promising to correct them, but even on December 10th, the eighth day of competition (counting from the start of the first event, men's football, on December 3rd), they continued to make mistakes.
