Loc Binh: Nearly 240 athletes participate in student football tournament - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On the afternoon of May 19, in Loc Binh district, the final round and award ceremony of the 5th primary and secondary school football competition for the district'seducation and training sector for the 2024-2025 school year took place. The tournament was jointly organized by the Department of Education and Training; Center for Culture, Sports and Communications of Loc Binh district.

Two dramatic finals in children's football and youth football

The tournament was held from May 10 to 19. There were 20 teams with nearly 240 athletes from primary and secondary schools in the district participating in the tournament.

At the tournament, the teams were divided into groups. Accordingly, 9 teams competed in youth football (secondary school), 11 teams competed in children's football (primary school).

During 5 days of exciting and exciting competition, the athletes contributed a total of 30 matches with 147 goals at Loc Binh District Stadium on weekends during the tournament. Due to the weather, the 2 final matches and the closing ceremony of the tournament were held on the afternoon of May 19.

Representative of the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Na Duong Mine Primary School football team.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 4 third prizes to the excellent teams; awarded thematic prizes to the player who scored the most goals and the best goalkeeper in the tournament's competitions. In which, the first prize belonged to the Na Duong Mine Primary School Team and the Loc Binh Town Secondary School Team; the second prize belonged to the Tu Mich Primary School Team and the Na Duong Town Secondary School Team.

The tournament was organized to practically celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), contributing to promoting the movement of physical training and sports, especially football in primary and secondary schools. At the same time, the tournament is also an opportunity for the district to discover, select and nurture outstanding athletes to add to the district's football team to participate in provincial-level youth and children's football tournaments in the coming time.
