Stroke", "blood infection", words too big for a seventeen year old girl

"In the solemn and profound atmosphere of the ceremony, I would like to start with my own story - an ordinary student but fortunate to always receive a lot of love on my journey. I was born and raised in an incomplete family. My mother is both the economic pillar and the person who takes care of the small family. She always silently shouldered all the difficulties, trying to give me a home full of love, so that I could study and pursue the things I like. Thanks to my mother, I grew up in peaceful days, learned to aspire, know how to dream and dare to reach out to the big world. But then, the incident happened when I entered the most important school year - the year facing the crossroads of life - my mother suddenly fell seriously ill. "Stroke", "blood infection" - those are too big words for a seventeen-year-old girl. For the first time, I stood under the heavy rain of life - sudden and fierce. For the first time, I felt "I felt the coldness of the hospital corridor, the heaviness of the sighs and the helplessness of waiting," Tuong Vi said.

The female student confided that in just a few days, everything seemed to collapse before her eyes. Her university dreams, her long-cherished plans, and her future became uncertain. The pressure of studying and the burden of life weighed on her shoulders. There were nights when she stayed up all night because of fear. After that, she decided to write a scholarship application letter and send it to the school. And she received support from many people. The school's board of directors, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and classes in the school... everyone sent Tuong Vi their warm attention and support, both materially and spiritually, instead of saying "everyone is always with you".

The 12th grader expressed that standing here, in the middle of the schoolyard, at the gratitude ceremony to tell her story, is a way to convey motivation and courage to her peers - those who are also silently enduring difficulties but do not dare to speak out. "I used to be like that, afraid of being pitied, afraid of people knowing my shortcomings, I used to think that silence is strength. Until I realized, courage is not not being afraid, but daring to overcome fear to receive love - not only for myself but also for the people I love," said Tuong Vi.

"I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the teachers who have always accompanied and motivated me. Especially Mr. Cuong, Vice Principal, who listened to me when I was most confused, encouraged me when I felt lost between pressure and pain. And all the teachers in the school, who have always silently cared, always been by my side and given me strength. Everything I have today, from my dreams, opportunities to my faith in the future, all started from the kindness, love and support of my teachers when I was in the most difficult period.

I would like to thank my family members who did not hesitate to stand up to support me during the days when my mother was seriously ill. Everyone was a solid support, sharing both the material and spiritual burdens to help me overcome the difficult journey.

I also want to thank my friends who did not leave me when I needed them most. Thank you for listening, for lending me your documents, for inviting me to eat meals together, for not making me feel different or distant, but for making me believe that I also deserve to live and dream like everyone else... And today, please allow me to invite the strongest woman - my mother - to stand up for a moment," the female student said as tears fell.

"Mom! Thank you, Mom, for giving birth to me, for silently enduring all the pain so that I can continue studying and living my dream. Thank you, Mom, for never letting go of my hand, even when you were exhausted. Even though today you can't stand firmly... It's okay. Because I will stand here with you to overcome the storms of life. I know that in the schoolyard today, every student has their own story. But I just want to say: If today you still have a roof over your head, still get to eat your mother's cooked meal, still get to sit behind your father's motorbike every morning, then know how to cherish it. Because for some people, that is an extremely luxurious dream. Don't wait until it's gone to say thank you. Show your love while you still can," Tuong Vi said. In the schoolyard, many people wiped away tears, including her mother.
