The class has more than half of the students achieving IELTS 8.0, SAT 1500 or higher

Class 12 English 1 of Ha Tinh Specialized High School (Ha Tinh province) made many people admire when out of 30 students, 15 students achieved SAT scores of 1500 or higher; 20 students achieved IELTS scores of 8.0 or higher.

English 12 class has 30 students with the highest SAT and IELTS test scores in the school.

Sharing with VietNamNet , Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Huyen, homeroom teacher and English teacher of class 12 English 1, said that currently, 29 students of the class have taken the test and achieved an IELTS score of 7.5 or higher.

The whole class achieved provincial level excellent English results.

Specifically, 20/29 students took the test with an IELTS score of 8.0 or higher (of which 3 students scored 8.5 and 17 students scored 8.0); the remaining 9 students scored 7.5.

The class also has 15 students who achieved SAT scores of 1500 or higher. Notably, among them is class monitor Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh who achieved SAT scores of 1600/1600 - a rare group of candidates in the world who achieved a perfect score on this test.

English 12 class also has many other excellent students such as: Doan Phuong Thao (with SAT 1540/1600, IELTS 8.5, first prize in provincial excellent student grade 12); Trinh Thi Nhu Y (SAT 1530/1600, IELTS 8.0, third prize in national excellent student exam); Doan Duy Hung (SAT 1560/1600, IELTS 8.0, encouragement prize in national excellent student exam); Tran Bao Tram (SAT 1550/1600, IELTS 8.0, first prize in provincial excellent student grade 12); Nguyen Danh Dung (SAT 1530/1600, IELTS 8.0, first prize in provincial excellent student grade 12); Tran Hoang Quynh Chi (SAT 1520/1600, IELTS 8.0, first prize in provincial excellent student grade 12); Phan Thi Hanh Nguyen (SAT 1520/1600, IELTS 8.0, First prize in provincial excellent student grade 12, won 100% tuition scholarship from Hong Kong University)...

During all 3 years of high school, all members of the class achieved provincial-level excellent students in English.

Healthy competition, taking your success as the goal

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Huyen commented that the learning movement of the English 12 class is very high. “What I am most happy about is that all members of the class have a progressive spirit, are always united and know how to share to progress together. Some outstanding individuals are always ready to help others. The students compete in studying and competing in a healthy, positive way; taking the success of their friends as a goal and motivation for themselves to strive to follow,” Ms. Huyen said.

Ms. Huyen believes that it is thanks to the positive learning atmosphere, solidarity and the desire to conquer the pinnacle of knowledge that has created an excellent English 12 class as it is today.

According to Ms. Huyen, most of the students of English 12 class spend a lot of time focusing on consolidating and mastering knowledge of 3 subjects: Math, Literature, and English - subjects that are somewhat favorable for exams like SAT and IELTS.

“Not only do they study well, they are also very affectionate. On my birthday, the whole class gathered to make a scrapbook in which they wrote down all the things they felt about me and the memories they had with me during the 3 years of high school,” Ms. Huyen shared.

English 12 class also has exciting extracurricular activities. Ms. Huyen said that a memorable memory was that in June last year, the class organized a 5-day summer camp together. “Although they were only in grade 11, they organized a very successful and meaningful summer camp. Afterwards, we also received very positive feedback from the students who participated in the summer camp. More importantly, the money the class collected from the summer camp was used to support the victims affected by Typhoon Yagi last October,” Ms. Huyen said.

Ms. Huyen said that this year, due to many changes in university admissions, students in the class all want to prepare plans so as not to be passive in the admissions process, increasing their chances of being admitted.

These days, members of class 12 English 1 at Ha Tinh Specialized High School are still actively studying to complete the general education program before aiming to achieve high scores in the high school graduation exam and pass the desired universities. "With the ability and spirit of effort of the members in the class, I believe that they will be able to enter the universities of their dreams," Ms. Huyen shared.
