On weekend mornings, Hanoi's weather is chilly, with temperatures ranging from 22-25 degrees Celsius. From 8am, the area around the Cathedral began to be crowded with people and tourists coming to enjoy the "most beautiful season of the year" weather. At the shops selling lemon tea and coffee around the church, customers were packed.

Hong Thao (pink shirt) - from Bac Ninh said, this is the first time she has come to Hanoi in late autumn: "Today I got to experience the feeling of sitting in front of the Cathedral, eating sticky rice, drinking tea. The food is delicious, partly because of the bustling atmosphere around. This is truly an interesting experience."
The cafes in Nha Chung area are always packed, one customer stands up and another takes their place. Many people who arrive late after 9am will have a hard time finding a good spot. Most cafes import green rice and sticky rice to serve customers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen - owner of a green rice stall next to Hanoi Cathedral, said: "Since the weather turned cold, the number of customers coming here has increased significantly. To serve customers on time, I have to get up at 3am to prepare."
A 2-ounce package of sticky rice costs 50,000 VND. In addition, Ms. Huyen also sells other types of rice cakes, xu xe cakes, green rice mochi... All of them are popular.

Many people choose the Cathedral to take souvenir photos. Nguyen Quoc Ky Duyen (23 years old) from Ho Chi Minh City shared that at 5:30, she got up to do her makeup, hair and prepare her outfit. Then, she had breakfast and moved to the church area to take photos.
Ms. Duyen was also quite surprised that the area around the church was so crowded, so choosing a good angle to take photos was not easy.

Taking advantage of their working time in Hanoi during the "most beautiful season of the year", Mr. Tran Viet Linh and Ms. Tran Phu Minh Ngoc from Dong Nai decided to take wedding photos at famous locations in the capital.

Having lived in Hanoi for nearly 3 years, Mr. Erik (55 years old) from Germany feels that the autumn weather here is quite similar to summer in his country. "I know that this is the most beautiful time in Hanoi. When I sit down to drink coffee, I often buy some sticky rice to enjoy. This is the special taste of autumn," he shared.
Located at 40 Nha Chung Street, the Great Church is one of the must-see destinations for tourists when coming to Hanoi.
The church was inaugurated in 1887 with the name of Saint Joseph Church. The church is 64.5m long, 20.5m wide and has two bell towers 31.5m high with large, heavy stone pillars at the four corners, and a stone cross on top.
To date, Hanoi Cathedral is still used as a place of worship for parishioners of the Cathedral Parish and Archdiocese of Hanoi.
