Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Binh Minh Commune People's Committee Nguyen Dang Viet said that in recent years, the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has always been widely deployed in the locality, becoming a vibrant mass movement, attracting a large number of people to participate.

This sports festival is the result of the mass sports movement, an opportunity for the locality to demonstrate the strength of the great national unity bloc, and to evaluate the development of the sports career of the commune. The festival is a place of competition, an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn, demonstrate their talents and will to rise.

The program includes a parade to show off force with 22 marching groups representing Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations, agencies, units, schools, residential areas and a large number of local people; torch-carrying and lighting of traditional fires.

This is not only an event to promote the mass sports movement, but also an opportunity to discover and nurture outstanding sports talents; a basis for the commune to build a force of athletes to compete in higher-level sports tournaments, towards the 11th Capital Sports Festival.

Previously, Binh Minh commune successfully organized 8 competitions, including: Soccer, table tennis, shuttlecock kicking, athletics, tug of war, pickleball, chess and Chinese chess.
