Nearly 600 athletes compete at the Sports Festival of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward

On October 26, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward held the opening ceremony of the first Ward Sports Festival in 2025, with the participation of nearly 600 athletes.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Hoang Kieu Nga emphasized: The 1st Sports Congress is a great festival of solidarity and the will to rise of all the people in the ward. This is an important occasion for cadres, workers, armed forces, students and people in the area to exchange, learn, practice health, and strengthen community ties.

The congress was widely launched and attracted nearly 600 athletes from many groups, including students of all levels, workers, civil servants, armed forces and the elderly. Athletes will compete in 8 sports, including: Chess, Chinese chess, aerobics, shuttlecock kicking, table tennis, tug of war, badminton and athletics.

Based on the competition results, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward will select and train excellent sports teams to participate in the 11th Hanoi City Sports Festival, scheduled to be held at the end of 2025.

Right after the opening ceremony, there was a special festival with elaborate art and sports performances, including: Thang Long Festival drum performance; "Moc Lan Quyen" fan dance by the Outdoor Health Club; beautiful hoop gymnastics by students of Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School...
