Launching a painting contest with the theme "Pride of my hometown Da Nang"

The Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang city has just launched a children's painting contest and exhibition with the theme "Pride of my hometown Da Nang".

The competition is open to junior high school students living and studying in Da Nang city; each school may submit a maximum of 5 entries. Entries should express love for the homeland and country, especially feelings of pride and affection for Da Nang city; reflecting the image of a friendly, modern, and dynamic city, connected to nature, the environment, the sea and islands, and the people of Da Nang in their studies, work, creativity, construction, and protection of their homeland.

Entries must be drawings on A2 size paper (40x60cm), using any medium (colored pencils, pastels, oil pastels, watercolors, acrylics, etc.). Entries must be original works, never before submitted to or exhibited in any competition, publication, or media. Each entry must clearly state the title of the artwork, the artist's full name, date of birth, school, class, address, and contact phone number.

Entries can be submitted directly or by mail to: Da Nang Union of Literature and Arts Associations (address: K54/10 Ong Ich Khiem Street, Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City; contact phone: 0768 585 660 (Ms. Ho Thi Thuy Trang, specialist at the Union of Associations Office)). The deadline for submissions is December 2nd, 2025 (based on the postmark). The competition has 34 prizes; and it is expected that the 200 best works will be selected for exhibition at APEC Park. Authors whose paintings are selected for exhibition will receive a certificate from the organizing committee. The closing ceremony and awards presentation are expected to be held at the end of December 2025.

The children's painting competition and exhibition "Proud of Da Nang, My Homeland" is one of the activities in the series of events of the Da Nang Children's Painting Festival 2025, organized by the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City, aiming to foster love for the homeland, pride, and creative inspiration in students.
