Fake recruitment fanpage
Impersonation tactics are becoming increasingly sophisticated.
In reality, scams often revolve around the unauthorized use of a company's name, logo, and brand image to gain the trust of job applicants. Malicious actors may create fake fan pages or websites, post attractive job advertisements, and make promises of stable employment with high salaries.
Some scams even require applicants to pay recruitment fees, application fees, or interview fees via bank transfer or e-wallet. Simultaneously, they collect important personal information, such as phone numbers, bank account numbers, and even OTP codes, to steal assets. With increasingly sophisticated tactics, many job seekers, especially recent graduates or inexperienced workers, easily fall into these traps.
Official information: A shield for workers
As one of the leading investment groups in Vietnam, GELEX Group has issued an official warning about the appearance of organizations and individuals impersonating GELEX in recruitment activities. According to reports, fake fan pages have posted false job advertisements, contacted candidates via email or fake phone numbers, and even requested money transfers to participate in interviews or guarantee employment.
GELEX asserts that this is a fraudulent act, unrelated to any official recruitment process of the Group. GELEX also emphasizes that all legitimate recruitment information is only posted through official channels, including:
- The company's website is at https://gelex.vn
- Recruitment website : https://gelexgroup.talent.vn
- Recruitment email address: tuyendung@gelex.vn
The corporation also affirmed that it absolutely does not charge any fees and does not require applicants to provide sensitive personal information throughout the application process.
Given the increasing sophistication of fraud, GELEX offers recommendations to help candidates protect themselves. First, job seekers should carefully verify information sources before submitting applications or attending interviews, and only apply through GELEX's official recruitment channels.
Candidates must absolutely not transfer money or share sensitive personal information with any individual or organization contacted through unclear channels. Upon detecting any unusual activity, candidates should proactively inform GELEX or relevant authorities for timely assistance, thereby contributing to preventing and addressing fraudulent activities.
Experts believe that reputable companies and corporations proactively issuing warnings when impersonation occurs is not only a way to protect candidates, but also demonstrates a commitment to building a transparent, safe, and professional recruitment environment.
