The Ministry of Education and Training notes that independent candidates with transcripts from a high school program must register for the exam according to the regulations for that program. In case a candidate has lost the original high school transcript and wishes to take the exam in 2024, he/she must have a certified copy of the transcript or a copy of the high school study results, or be confirmed by the Department of Education and Training (based on comparison with the records of the high school where he/she studied grade 12 or based on the exam records of previous exams).
Candidates freely fill in the necessary information on the envelope containing the Exam Registration Form, Form No. 1 and Form No. 2 (the information must be the same in all corresponding items on the envelope, Form No. 1 and Form No. 2).
Then, the candidate submits to the examination registration reception office a copy of both sides of the citizen identification card (ID card) on one side of an A4 sheet of paper and two 4x6 photos of the citizen identification card (ID card) size, taken within the last 6 months (with full name, date of birth written clearly on the back of the photo, these two photos are contained in a small envelope).
In addition, the candidate must attach an additional photo to the designated position on the front of the Exam Registration Form bag. The police of the commune or ward where the candidate resides must sign and stamp the photo on the Exam Registration Form to confirm the candidate's identity.
Depending on the purpose of the exam and the choice of subject combinations for university and college admission, independent candidates can choose the whole exam or just choose some appropriate component subjects.
Independent candidates can only register for component subjects in the same combined exam. In case independent candidates have not graduated from high school and have exams or subjects (for high school graduation recognition) from the previous year that are eligible for retention, if they want to retain any exam or subject, they must record the score of that exam or subject.
Regarding the conditions for retention, candidates who have taken all the required exams and subjects but have not graduated from high school and have not been disciplined to have their exam results cancelled will have their exam scores reserved for consideration of recognition of high school graduation in the next consecutive year's exam. Exams and subjects with reserved exam scores include: Independent exams with a score of 5.0 or higher; combined exams with a score of 5.0 or higher and all component exams of this exam have a score of more than 1.0; component exams of the combined exam have a score of 5.0 or higher.
After submitting the Exam Registration Form, the independent candidate will be given an account and password by the exam registration unit to log into the Exam Management System at http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn.
To ensure information security, upon receiving the account and password, candidates should change the password immediately; keep their account and password secure. In case of forgetting the account and password, candidates should contact the exam registration unit to request a reissue. The exam registration reception unit will retain the envelope containing the Exam Registration Form, Form No. 1, a copy of the citizen identification card (ID card) and 2 photos; return Form No. 2 to the candidate after signing and stamping the confirmation.
Candidates keep Form No. 2 to receive the Exam Notice and Certificate of Exam Results. In case of any errors in the exam registration information or loss of the Exam Notice, candidates must bring this Exam Registration Form directly to the registered exam location at the meeting to disseminate the regulations to request correction of errors and complete the exam procedures.
