This activity was carried out right after an urgent meeting of the commune government regarding response work to storm No. 13. Accordingly, the villages urgently reviewed, notified and organized the evacuation of people before the storm made landfall.
Schools and cultural houses were used as evacuation centers; militia, commune police and organizations coordinated to support people in transporting their belongings, ensuring absolute safety for people and property.
Mr. Briu Quan, Chairman of the People's Committee and Head of the Civil Defense Command of Avuong Commune, said that evacuating people at vulnerable points with high risk of landslides to safe places is the top priority at this time.

"The forces must stick close to the area, not leaving any households in the danger zone. The goal is to ensure absolute safety of people's lives and property before, during and after storm No. 13," said Mr. Briu Quan.
In order to closely implement the response work, the Avuong commune authorities requested to prepare essential means and materials for rescue work; arrange forces on duty 24/7 at key points, ready to respond in case of emergency.
In addition, localities proactively propagate and mobilize people not to be subjective and to comply with government instructions.
Faced with prolonged landslides and a shortage of local food supplies, the commune authorities mobilized forces to transport essential goods and encouraged people to take advantage of the temporary break in the rain to harvest agricultural products for food storage and prevention when storm No. 13 approaches the mainland.
