According to Mr. Tu, Sam Son is endowed by nature with amazing landscapes, and in the process of formation, development, tourism, and culture of Sam Son is associated with legends and myths. From the love story of Hon Trong Mai, the Doc Cuoc god splitting his body in half to protect the country and the people, to the heroic epic of female spy Nguyen Thi Loi sinking a French colonial warship.

According to Mr. Tu, in the tourism development strategy of Thanh Hoa province, Sam Son has always been identified as a key tourist city. In 2024, the whole Thanh Hoa province welcomed 15.3 million visitors, of which nearly 9 million visitors came to Sam Son. This is further evidence to affirm the leading position of Sam Son tourism industry, the foundation for increasingly building Sam Son into a key national tourist city.
