Just hours after scoring his 52nd goal for France in a 2-1 win over Iceland (September 10) to surpass Thierry Henry's record, Mbappe did not hesitate to share the dark corners of a football star's life.
Mbappe said: "If I didn't have passion, I would have given up a long time ago because the football world scared me. People who come to the stadium are lucky because they just watch a performance and don't have to know what's going on behind the scenes."
He also revealed that he would never encourage his children to pursue a professional football career, a statement that shocked fans.
"I would never advise my child to enter the world of football," Mbappe affirmed.
Mbappe also revealed the pressure and troubles he faced. The legal battle with his former club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has not ended. The player is demanding 55 million euros in salary and bonuses, while PSG is suing for 98 million euros.

Explaining the lawsuit, Mbappe affirmed that this is his legal right. "I have nothing against PSG, I love PSG but this is the only way to get back what I deserve, what I have worked hard to get."
The interview, titled "The Secret of Mbappe," also revealed another side of the star: one who has learned to live with speculation and criticism. "I'm very strict with myself... So I'm very comfortable with criticism," he said.
Mbappe's statements have stirred up public opinion, once again raising questions about the price of fame and the dark, scandalous corners of the king of sports .
