The North welcomes cold air and rain

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this morning (November 6), cold air will affect the mountainous areas of the North and the Northeast, and will spread to other places in the Northeast in the afternoon and evening.

By tonight, cold winds will continue to expand to affect the North Central region, the Northwest region and some places in the Central Central region. The wind will turn northeast inland at level 2-3; coastal areas at level 3-4.

From tonight, the weather in the North and North Central regions will be cold at night and in the morning, and cold in the mountainous areas. During this cold air mass, the lowest temperature in the North and North Central regions will be from 20-23 degrees Celsius, and in the mountainous areas, 16-19 degrees Celsius.

Notably, due to the influence of cold air combined with the wind convergence zone above 1,500m, today and tonight, in the Northern region, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in mountainous and midland areas, there will be moderate rain, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm, in some places over 70mm.

This afternoon and tonight, in the North Central region, there will also be rain with reduced amounts, 15-30mm, in some places over 50mm.

The meteorological agency warns that from early tomorrow morning until November 8, the Central and South Central regions will have heavy to very heavy rain with amounts ranging from 20-50mm, with some places over 80mm.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes. Localized heavy rains can cause flooding in low-lying areas.

In addition, from this afternoon and tonight, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind will change direction to Northeast, strong level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7, waves 1-2m high, rough seas. From tonight, the North East Sea area (including the waters of Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong Northeast wind, level 6, gusting to level 8, waves 2-4m high, rough seas.

Cloudy, with rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Cold at night, some places are freezing.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees, some places below 19 degrees. Highest temperature: 25-28 degrees, some places above 28 degrees.

Northeast

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, moderate rain in mountainous and midland areas, locally heavy rain. Northeast wind level 2-3, coastal areas level 3-4. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Cold at night, freezing in mountainous areas.

Lowest temperature: 20-23, mountainous areas 16-19 degrees. Highest temperature: 25-28 degrees, some places above 28 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

In the North, it is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night, with some moderate to heavy rain in some places; in the South, it is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day and scattered showers and thunderstorms at night. Wind from the north to the northwest is level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. In the North, it is cold at night.

Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees. Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day; scattered showers and thunderstorms at night, with some moderate to heavy rain. Northeast wind level 2-3. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

Central Highlands

Cloudy, sunny during the day, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. Northeast wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 19-22 degrees. Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees.

Southern Vietnam

Cloudy, sunny during the day, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, scattered showers and thunderstorms at night. Northeast to east wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 31-34 degrees.

Hanoi

Cloudy with occasional showers and thunderstorms. Northeast wind force 2-3. Thunderstorms with possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts. Cold at night.

Lowest temperature: 21-23 degrees. Highest temperature: 25-28 degrees.
