Heavy rain in the North and North Central regions

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today and tonight (September 13), the weather in the Northern region will be the heaviest rainy day of this period, with rainfall from 7am this morning to 7am tomorrow morning (September 14) being 40-80mm, in some places over 130mm.

During the period of clear, cloudy, cool weather, watch out for scattered thunderstorms. Temperatures in the Northwest range from 24-30 degrees; in the Northeast from 25-29 degrees.

From September 13-14, the North Central region will also have very heavy rain with an amount of 50-100mm, in some places over 150mm, from 7am this morning to 7pm tomorrow night.

According to the meteorological agency, from September 14, heavy rain in the Northern region will tend to decrease. In the North Central region, it is likely to last until September 15.

Impact of heavy rain: Beware of the risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas; beware of heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Besides, the Central Highlands and the South will continue to have thunderstorms today, concentrated in the afternoon and evening.

In the Central and South Central regions, it will be hot and sunny during the day, with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Temperatures will still be as high as 36 degrees.

Northwest

Cloudy with moderate to heavy rain, some very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 21-24 degrees, some places below 21 degrees. Highest temperature: 27-30 degrees.

Northeast

Cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain in places and scattered thunderstorms. North to northeast wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms have the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 22-25 degrees, in mountainous areas some places below 21 degrees. Highest temperature: 26-29 degrees, in mountainous areas some places 22-25 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

In the North, it is cloudy with moderate to heavy rain during the day, with some places having very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms. At night, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms. In the South, it is cloudy with sunny days and scattered showers and thunderstorms at night. Southwesterly winds are at level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees. Highest temperature: 30-33 degrees, Thanh Hoa 28-29 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, sunny during the day, hot in some places; showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the North in the evening. Southwest wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees. Highest temperature: 33-36 degrees, some places above 36 degrees.

Central Highlands

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate to heavy rain (rain concentrated in the afternoon and night). Southwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees. Highest temperature: 27-30 degrees, some places above 30.

Southern Vietnam

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 30-33 degrees.

Hanoi

Cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain in places and scattered thunderstorms. Northeast wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms have the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 24-26 degrees. Highest temperature: 27-29 degrees.
