The ceremony to announce the Vietnam Private Economic Panorama Model (ViPEL) and launch the executive board and key personnel of the committees, organized by the Private Economic Development Research Board (Board IV), was not simply a ceremony to launch an "unprecedented" operating model in the Vietnamese economy, but it was the "heartfelt" sharing of leading businessmen with the aspiration: To do something greater for society and for the country?

Entrepreneurs do not just do business and make profits…

Participating as a key member of the Committee for Emerging Technology and Innovation under ViPEL, billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Sovico Group, for the first time in her new role, made her feel "happy" to be able to join many veteran businessmen in building the model of "Public and private building the country: strong and prosperous".

On the journey of more than 30 years to create an ecosystem including the Vietjet airline brand, HDBank and presence in many fields of real estate, resort tourism, industry, technology... Ms. Thao is increasingly aware that: "The responsibility of Vietnamese entrepreneurs is not only to do business, create profits, but also to create society, develop sustainably, protect the environment and spread confidence to the nation".

According to her: "In the era of strong growth, the country's opportunities today are due to private enterprises and national enterprises with the mission of playing a pioneering role, leading the innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, green technology, green finance, not only to develop for themselves but also to contribute to realizing Vietnam's aspirations."

During decades of business, businessman Vu Van Tien - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geleximco Group, key personnel of ViPEL's Committee of Industry, Production, Processing and Manufacturing - said that more than ever, this is the time when the Party, State and Government have responded to and accompanied the aspirations of businesses and private entrepreneurs, which have been constant for decades.

There is no better opportunity than now for big ideas to resonate with the voice of the private business community.

The Politburo's issuance of a series of resolutions on institutional reform, innovation, integration and private economy, education, energy development, etc. has opened up many expectations for strong and comprehensive innovation.

Mr. Vu Van Tien - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geleximco Group, key personnel of the Committee of Industry, Production, Processing and Manufacturing always maintains the aspiration to contribute to society and build the country.

The nearly 70-year-old businessman shared that after experiencing many life and death situations, and each time he felt like "dying and coming back to life", he wanted to have more aspirations. Therefore, living with the spirit of "public and private building the country, co-creating", doing things with passion creates breakthroughs and development for society, for the country, for life. Therefore, Mr. Tien hopes to spread the spirit of an entrepreneur: always maintaining the aspiration to contribute, create jobs for people, contribute to society and build the country.

Telling the story of Dai Dung Group Company - the enterprise that successfully installed the world's largest steel dome structure built at lightning speed at Giang Vo Exhibition Center, Mr. Tien said that this is a testament to the capacity and creativity of Vietnamese enterprises.

Therefore, he hopes that with this model, there will be more private enterprises that will also perform "miracles", thanks to the leadership and pioneering of leading enterprises, fanning the flames of aspiration to contribute to the lives of each entrepreneur.

Creating "layer upon layer" of businesses that are united and share the same aspirations

Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), a key member of the Human Resources and Services Development Committee - also shared that for businessmen who have been on the journey of innovation with the country for decades, their own aspirations are the common aspirations of the nation.

Therefore, for entrepreneurs who have experienced the ups and downs of the economy, they are more passionate and always want to be leaders to be able to spread, inspire, and gather the most business community, especially young entrepreneurs in the context of the country developing with technology and innovation.

Attending online, Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Dung - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) realized the responsibility of leading, spreading, and inspiring to gather as many young entrepreneurs and businesses as possible in the process of innovation.

"What touched me was that the model placed female entrepreneurs as a pillar, while there are many young businesses and powerful entrepreneurs. This helps give us motivation, confidence and inspiration," Ms. Dung expressed.

How does ViPEL operate?

ViPEL operates on the basis of a comprehensive program executive council with four committees. Including: Committee on emerging technology and innovation industries; Committee on infrastructure development and industries with national competitive advantages; Committee on industries, production, processing and manufacturing; Committee on resource development and services.

According to the plan, on October 10, the program "Vietnam Private Economic Panorama 2025" will take place, such as announcing a report assessing the development prospects of Vietnam's private enterprises in 2025 and honoring typical enterprises along with public-private dialogues.

With the panoramic model of Vietnam's private economy aiming at the goal of "Public - private nation building: strong, prosperous", Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Head of Department IV - member of ViPEL Executive Board - emphasized the great expectation: each Vietnamese enterprise and businessman will not have to go alone, but will join forces "layer by layer".

Private enterprises have joined together, contributed, and participated in billion-dollar projects such as the North-South high-speed railway, forming hundreds of large-scale enterprises and gathering thousands of intellectuals and businessmen to participate.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mai Huu Tin - Deputy Head of Department IV and Chairman of U&I Investment Joint Stock Company, in charge of the Committee for Infrastructure Development and Industries with National Competitive Advantages, emphasized that the model will create bridges for Vietnamese enterprises to participate in billion-dollar and million-dollar projects.

Therefore, he expects that there will be Vietnamese enterprises "volunteering" to take the lead, attracting small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to participate in projects, creating private business ecosystems that contribute to the development and construction of the country.

The spirit of nation building illuminates policies and actions

Mr. Phan Duc Hieu, Standing Member of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly:

The spirit of public-private partnership in nation building with the enthusiasm, aspiration, determination and frankness from businesses has spread to us, the policymakers, to have greater responsibility, be more serious and look straight at the wishes of the business community.

With the commitment to public-private national construction, there must be concrete actions, prioritized actions. In particular, the 4 committees need to promote the role of policy criticism, such as the upcoming 10th session of the National Assembly, which will amend, supplement, and replace 48 different laws, and the private economic sector will be greatly affected, such as the Law on Planning, the Law on Investment and Business, the Law on Urban and Rural Planning, etc.

To implement the spirit of public-private partnership in nation building, we wish to coordinate with private enterprises and businessmen to contribute opinions on laws directly related to business activities of enterprises to create a good legal foundation.

Next, there needs to be strong initiatives. Instead of criticizing policies, we need to proactively propose policies and provide solutions for more effective implementation.
