Practical effectiveness from 76 topics, projects, and more than 3,700 initiatives
Chairman of the Board of Members Phung Quang Hiep emphasized: as one of the key state economic groups, the pillar of Vietnam's chemical industry, the Group always identifies science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as important driving forces for sustainable development.
In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Group has synchronously implemented many programs, plans and mechanisms on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. The whole Group has implemented 76 science and technology topics and projects and more than 3,700 initiatives, bringing practical results: saving energy, reducing costs, increasing productivity, mastering many technical processes and developing many new products - from environmentally friendly fertilizers, pure chemicals, radial tires to batteries, accumulators and industrial gases. Many projects have been registered for patents, won domestic and international science and technology awards, contributing to improving the competitiveness, production and business efficiency and brand reputation of Vinachem.

In addition to the achieved results, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vinachem Phung Quang Hiep frankly acknowledged the limitations and affirmed that the Group needs to have a fundamental shift in thinking, organizational model and method of operating the science and technology ecosystem, innovation and digital transformation in the coming period.
Entering the 2026 - 2030 period, the Group aims to make science and technology, innovation and digital transformation a strategic pillar in the restructuring and green growth process. All investment projects, especially in the fields of fertilizers, basic chemicals, rubber - tires, batteries - accumulators, industrial gases, must be based on modern, high-performance, environmentally friendly technology.
The Group will focus on developing high value-added pure chemical and specialty chemical products, serving the electronics, energy, pharmaceutical and food industries. At the same time, it will promote comprehensive digital transformation, develop smart factory models, digital enterprises, build industry data infrastructure, and gradually apply artificial intelligence in management, production and trade. The Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry will be developed into a core research and innovation center, closely connected with domestic and foreign institutes and schools.
Chairman of Vinachem Board of Members Phung Quang Hiep emphasized the need to build an environment that encourages creativity, promotes the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, and turning research and innovation results into concrete values in each product and each production line.
Breakthrough, the main driving force for rapid and sustainable development
Concluding the Conference, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Members, General Director of Vinachem Nguyen Huu Tu emphasized: The Group and its member enterprises need to proactively follow reality, carefully study the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies, and resolutely and synchronously implement many solutions to promote the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
In particular, focusing on: increasing investment in facilities for science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; developing, employing and training high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation; strengthening domestic and international cooperation in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, first of all, proactively creating appropriate and worthy financial resources, dedicated to the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation such as establishing the Science and Technology Development Fund, Innovation and Digital Transformation; at the same time, focusing capital to prioritize the implementation of tasks according to the national orientation in accordance with the Group's production practices.
In the next phase, the Group identifies science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as key growth drivers, strongly promoting automation, modernizing production technology, developing diversified products with high added value and key products that deeply participate in the global value chain, contributing to improving the competitiveness and production and business efficiency of the entire Group.
Thereby, continuing to consolidate and maintain the position of Vietnam Chemical Industry Group as the core and leading force in the Vietnamese chemical industry; moving towards becoming one of the leading groups in Southeast Asia and strongly contributing to improving the national production autonomy capacity as well as making an important contribution to the country's double-digit growth target in the following years.
