In an interview with VNA reporters on the sidelines of the conference on the morning of May 12 (local time), Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan affirmed that the working trip of the Ministry of Finance delegation to attend the 2025 US Investment Summit and a series of bilateral meetings with partners in the US in the coming days demonstrates Vietnam's strong commitment to promoting bilateral investment and trade cooperation with the US - a comprehensive strategic partner and the world's leading economy.
“Through this conference, Vietnamese businesses also have the opportunity to cooperate and invest, especially in the fields of science and technology, digital transformation, energy industry, seaport infrastructure development, aviation and many processing industries, industries in which the US has many advantages in cooperation with Vietnam,” said Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan.
According to Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan, attending the Conference not only helps Vietnamese enterprises seek investment opportunities, but also promotes investment cooperation to make cooperation between Vietnamese and US enterprises more substantive, thereby promoting understanding as well as sharing with each other in joint activities, contributing to promoting the comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and the US more substantive, increasingly going into depth.
Also at the Conference, between the two plenary sessions, the Organizing Committee held a “Meet & Greet” event with Vietnamese businesses. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ashok Pinto, Executive Director of the Invest in America 2025 Summit.

At the meeting, Mr. Ashok Pinto, on behalf of President Donald Trump and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, thanked the Vietnamese business community for choosing the US or considering choosing the US as an investment destination. He hoped that the Vietnamese business community would contact the US Trade Office in Vietnam to learn about or seek support in learning about the US market. The US government wants a sustainable and fair trade relationship between the US and Vietnam.
At the Conference, Vietnamese businesses have the opportunity to attend and connect with economic development agencies of US states/regions to learn and further enhance new investment activities, expand investment, and commit to creating jobs for American people.
