Ukrinform quoted the Ukrainian President's Office as saying that "the head of state noted the importance of Moldova's solidarity with the people of Ukraine" and "stressed his determination to continue doing everything necessary to build friendly and close relations between the two countries."
President Zelensky “appreciated the signals” from Moldova in support of Kiev and President Maia Sandu’s visit to cities devastated when Russia launched a special military operation.
The two leaders “expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation in the context of dealing with challenges from Russia and exchanged views on the need to increase sanctions pressure on Moscow.”
Meanwhile, sharing on social media about the meeting with the Ukrainian leader, President Maia Sandu said that the two sides discussed "a number of topics on the bilateral agenda, including cooperation in infrastructure modernization and expansion projects, and strengthening energy security".
