A series of businesses were penalized for tax

(NLDO) – Many businesses have just announced decisions from management agencies on penalties for violations and tax collection.

The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department has just issued a decision to administratively fine the amount of VND 265.2 million and collect more than VND 1.2 billion including value added tax, personal income tax, and corporate income tax from Navetco Central Veterinary Medicine Joint Stock Company (VET).

The reason is that this company made incorrect declarations, leading to a shortage of value-added tax, corporate income tax, and personal income tax payable in 2023. At the same time, VET also did not issue invoices when selling goods and providing services to buyers, violating the provisions of the Law on Tax Administration.

The Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department also imposed an administrative fine of VND11.5 million on the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of An Giang Fruit and Vegetable Joint Stock Company for submitting tax declaration documents after the prescribed deadline.

SmartMind Securities Company also violated tax procedures. As a result, the company was administratively fined more than 7 million VND by the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.

The Tax Department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province issued a decision to administratively fine the Urban Development and Construction Company of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (UDC) VND 6.5 million for false declaration leading to a shortage of payable amount.

To remedy the situation, UDC was charged more than VND1.3 billion by the tax authority and fined VND984 million for late payment. In total, UDC was fined and collected more than VND2.3 billion.
