One day earlier, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee also issued a document directing the inspection and handling of the case of a TVY reporter (Giao Thong Newspaper, resident in Gia Lai) who was repeatedly thrown shrimp paste and dog heads into his house, along with a note containing threatening content.

Specifically, at around 4am on March 24, some strangers rode a motorbike to the private home of a TVY reporter (in Yen The ward, Pleiku city) and threw dirty substances, shrimp paste and a dog’s head into the garden of the house. Wrapping the dog’s head was a piece of paper that read: “If you know what is good for you, you will have good luck. If you don’t know what is good for you, you will be bitter all your life. No one will protect you all your life.”
