On June 19, information from the Department of Transport of Thai Binh province said that this unit has just issued a decision to temporarily suspend the road motor vehicle inspection activities of Thai Binh Motor Vehicle Inspection Joint Stock Company (code 1701D).

Accordingly, Thai Binh 17.01D Motor Vehicle Inspection Joint Stock Company will be temporarily suspended from inspection activities for 3 months, starting from July 1 because 2 inspectors had their inspection certificates revoked in Decision No. 634/QD-ĐKVN dated May 8 of the Vietnam Register.
The decision further states that Thai Binh 17.01D Motor Vehicle Inspection Joint Stock Company is responsible for notifying this decision to its officers, employees, workers at the unit and related organizations and individuals. In addition, the company must return the certificate of eligibility for motor vehicle inspection to the Department of Transport and stop inspection activities from the effective date of this decision.
Information from a leader of Thai Binh 17.01D Motor Vehicle Inspection Joint Stock Company added that, related to the decision to temporarily suspend the company's operations, recently, the unit had 2 new inspectors brought to trial, both received prison sentences from 2 years 6 months - 3 years in prison, and had their certificates revoked .
According to Decree 30.2023 (effective from June 8, 2023), in case a center has 2 or more inspectors whose certificates are revoked for 12 consecutive months, its operations will be temporarily suspended for 3 months.
Therefore, the center will be forced to stop operating from July 1.
In Thai Binh province, there are 2 inspection centers. From July 1, Inspection Center 17.01D must temporarily stop operating, leaving only 1 unit (in Dong Hung District). This will cause many difficulties for businesses and vehicle owners who need to be inspected.
