Thai Nguyen: Transport activities grow strongly

In the third quarter of 2025, transportation activities in Thai Nguyen province continued to record many positive signals, achieving double-digit growth in both cargo and passenger sectors.

In the first 9 months of 2025, passenger transport reached 34.5 million trips, an increase of 28.6% over the same period in 2024.

It is estimated that in September 2025, the volume of goods transported reached about 6.4 million tons, an increase of 12.2% over the previous month. In the third quarter alone, the volume of goods transported reached 19.4 million tons, an increase of more than 6% over the previous quarter. In the first 9 months, the whole province transported 55.7 million tons of goods, an increase of 10.3% over the same period.

For passenger transport, September is estimated to reach 3.8 million passengers, up 29% over the same period. The third quarter recorded 10.9 million passengers and the cumulative 9 months of 2025 reached 34.5 million passengers, up 28.6% over the same period in 2024.

These figures show that the demand for freight transport and travel of people and businesses in the area is recovering strongly, contributing to promoting economic growth and trade and service activities of the province.
