Mourinho angry with Galatasaray's actions.

In the penultimate round of the 2024/25 Super Lig, Galatasaray led 2-0 against Kayserispor and were almost certain to win the trophy. In the 89th minute, they were awarded a penalty and decided to give veteran goalkeeper Muslera the chance to take the shot.

Although not perfect, the shot from the goalkeeper who has been with the club for 14 years was still successful. Muslera scored the second goal of his Galatasaray career and brought excitement to most of the spectators in the stadium.

However, for Mourinho - head coach of Fenerbahce, the team that finished second this season, that was not a cute or funny act, but a lack of respect.

The Portuguese coach sarcastically said: "The way you celebrate a championship shows the nature of a person. Today's celebration is a perfect summary of the whole season. They lead 2-0, then let the goalkeeper take a penalty, a great image that speaks to the level of humanity."

This is not the first time Mourinho has argued with Galatasaray this season. The "Special One" has always been at the center of fiery statements. However, Mourinho affirmed that he and his students will return stronger in the 2025/26 season.

"I can do better, my players can do better. I don't know if that's enough to have a successful season. But our job is to prepare well, schedule friendly matches, and organize the last test match at home before the Champions League qualifiers take place."

Mourinho currently has one year left on his contract with Fenerbahce, which runs until the summer of 2026. Despite rumours linking him with other clubs, he is likely to remain with the Turkish side for at least another season.
