According to The Sun , Manchester United have no intention of letting both of them leave in the January 2026 transfer window. The Red Devils' squad is expected to be affected by the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2026), when key players such as Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui return to the national team.

Speaking to the media, coach Amorim said: "At this club, all rumors are exaggerated. I understand the players want to play, especially when the World Cup is approaching. But they are MU players, and we need all of them to have a successful season."

Mainoo has only made one start in the 2025/26 season, in a shock defeat to Grimsby Town in the League Cup. The midfielder has not started a Premier League game since May.

Meanwhile, Zirkzee is facing fierce competition from a series of names such as Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Mason Mount in MU's attack. Many teams in Italy and Spain want to take Zirkzee on loan, but face toughness from the "Red Devils" leadership.

Coach Amorim admitted that not participating in the European Cup this season has made the competition for starting places more fierce. However, he affirmed that if he works hard in training, any player will be given a chance.

On November 1, MU will visit Nottingham Forest's City Ground in the Premier League.

Four goals of MU against Brighton On the night of October 25, Matheus Cunha, Casemiro and Bryan Mbeumo (double) shined to help MU beat Brighton 4-2 in round 9 of the Premier League.
