Thanh Duy's gold medal is of special importance to the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at AYG 2025. In the context that expected sports such as athletics and muay have not been able to reach the highest position.
The weightlifter from Khanh Hoa helped the whole team "relieve the pressure" after many days of waiting. This was a strong mental boost, creating great motivation for the young athletes to compete in the remaining events.
The 2025 Asian Youth Games brings together more than 30 countries and territories, competing in many Olympic sports, and is an important playground to evaluate and discover young talents of the continent before the Youth Olympics.
