Small traders have returned to selling at Van Xa market area (Huong Tra ward).

Previously, on this road section, due to flooding and strong currents, Huong Tra Ward Police proactively coordinated with the City Traffic Police to direct traffic, regulate, and guide people to participate in traffic safely.

Currently, except for some roads: Song Bo, Tran Quoc Tuan, Ly Thai Tong, Buu Ke... and widespread flooding in some residential groups, the water level on many inner-city roads in the area has decreased. Some traditional markets have resumed operations.

Preliminary statistics show that currently, the number of flooded houses in Huong Tra ward is 1,556/4,532 houses.

Binh Dien commune had 11 households that had to be evacuated. By the morning of October 28, the water in the flooded areas had receded, so many of these households had returned home, while some remaining households in areas at risk of landslides had taken refuge with relatives.

"Thanks to proactive prevention and avoidance, Binh Dien has not suffered significant damage yet," said Mr. Tran Xuan Anh - Chairman of Binh Dien Commune People's Committee.

In Kim Tra, except for Thuong Khe residential area, 26/27 residential areas in the entire ward are still flooded. Main roads are flooded from 0.5 - 2m, provincial roads 8A, 8B are flooded from 0.5 - more than 1.5m.

As of 11am on October 28, Kim Tra Ward still had widespread power outages. Currently, the entire ward has 61 households evacuated to safe places, 656 fish cages and rafts are securely anchored.

Because the water has slowed down, people can still travel by boat, so trading activities continue. Up to now, there have been no signs of isolation or shortages of food or necessities.
