Phu Quoc simultaneously renamed 46 neighborhoods, keeping 5 old names

On October 28, the People's Council of Phu Quoc Special Zone passed a Resolution to rename 46 neighborhoods and keep the names of 5 neighborhoods in the area. The Resolution was passed on October 23, 2025 and takes effect from the date of signing.

Specifically, the 12 neighborhoods in the old order of Duong Dong ward will be changed to: "Neighborhood 1 Duong Dong", "Neighborhood 2 Duong Dong"... up to "Neighborhood 12 Duong Dong".

Eight neighborhoods in the former An Thoi ward were also renamed accordingly, from "Neighborhood 1 An Thoi" to "Neighborhood 8 An Thoi".

Additionally, neighborhoods formerly belonging to communes will be given new names by adding the name of the old commune. For example: Le Bat neighborhood (formerly Cua Can commune) will become "Le Bat Cua Can neighborhood"; Rach Ham neighborhood (formerly Ham Ninh commune) will become "Rach Ham Ham Ninh neighborhood"...

Five neighborhoods retained their original names: Hon Thom, Hon Roi, Ganh Dau, Duong To, and Bai Thom.
