Phu Quoc simultaneously renamed 46 neighborhoods, keeping 5 old names

On October 28, the People's Council of Phu Quoc Special Zone passed a Resolution to rename 46 neighborhoods and keep the names of 5 neighborhoods in the area. The Resolution was passed on October 23, 2025 and takes effect from the date of signing.

Specifically, the 12 neighborhoods in the old order of Duong Dong ward will change to: "Duong Dong Neighborhood 1", "Duong Dong Neighborhood 2"... to "Duong Dong Neighborhood 12".

8 neighborhoods of the old An Thoi ward were also renamed from "An Thoi Ward 1" to "An Thoi Ward 8".

In addition, the neighborhoods of the former communes will be given new names by adding the old commune names. For example: Le Bat neighborhood (old Cua Can commune) becomes "Le Bat Cua Can neighborhood"; Rach Ham neighborhood (old Ham Ninh commune) becomes "Rach Ham Ham Ninh neighborhood"...

5 neighborhoods keep their old names: Hon Thom, Hon Roi, Ganh Dau, Duong To and Bai Thom.
