According to information from the People's Committee of Thanh Bong commune , by the morning of October 28, landslides continued to occur at 3 locations in the locality, including Eo Ta Mo peak (group 4, Mon village) on National Highway 24C; group 2 road, Tra Lac village and group 3 road, Tra Xanh village.
Immediately after that, the People's Committee of the commune coordinated with relevant functional departments to organize the repair of landslides on National Highway 24C. Particularly for small roads, the People's Committee of Thanh Bong commune mobilized the people in the village and the commune's Disaster Prevention and Control Team to clear the route, creating convenience for people to travel.

At the inspection, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang requested departments, branches and localities to regularly inspect and monitor high-risk landslide sites. Place warning signs and organize checkpoints at landslide sites, fix landslides and avoid traffic jams.


The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province requested relevant agencies and units to ensure smooth traffic; promptly fix and handle landslides on the road surface, creating favorable conditions for vehicles and people to travel. At the same time, proactively install warning signs from a distance to ensure safety. In case of major incidents, the provincial military forces and relevant units need to coordinate to respond according to the "4 on-site" motto.
Comrade Nguyen Hoang Giang requested that local authorities need to firmly grasp the area, inform and propagate to people, proactively evacuate, ensure accommodation, and implement traffic safety.


Mr. Ho Van Tu, Head of the Economic Department, Thanh Bong Commune People's Committee, said: the locality has completed repairing the landslide at the top of Eo Ta Mo (Group 4, Mon village), which is the commune's main road on National Highway 24C. Previously, from October 26 to 27, this area also had a landslide, causing traffic congestion.

The locality also organized the evacuation of 9 households with 43 people affected by the landslide that occurred near Mr. Ho Van Tien's house (group 7, Go village) to live with other households to ensure safety.

The locality has also stockpiled food such as rice, drinking water, and instant noodles in 12 villages in the commune; in case the villages are cut off or isolated, they will be immediately distributed to the people.
* Regarding disaster relief, after the water on Tra Bong River receded, police officers and soldiers, and the military command of Dong Tra Bong commune urgently cleaned up trees and trash stuck on the bridge.
