Earlier, in the early morning of October 28, floodwaters rose from the Luy River, causing a section of National Highway 1A passing through Ong Vac Bridge in Luong Son Commune to be deeply flooded. The flooded area was about 100m long and about half a meter deep, temporarily cutting off traffic in both directions. As soon as the incident occurred, the Traffic Police and the Road Management Office IV.1 deployed officers to coordinate traffic regulation in the flooded area. The Traffic Police Department, Lam Dong Provincial Police, sent forces to guide long-distance drivers to turn around and go to Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway to change their route.

At the same time, the rising water level of Song Luy River caused some areas in Song Luy Commune to be flooded. Specifically, at 1:40 a.m. on October 28, in Suoi Nhuom Village, about 25 households were flooded from 0.8 to 1.5 meters deep. The commune government proactively mobilized military forces, police and other relevant agencies to assist people in evacuating people, livestock, poultry and property to a safe place.

Regarding the landslide on National Highway 28B through Dai Ninh Pass (Phan Son Commune), the Traffic Police Department, Lam Dong Provincial Police said that the landslide has been fixed and traffic has been running normally since the morning of October 28.

Previously, on the evening of October 27, due to prolonged heavy rain, at Km45+500 National Highway 28B, passing through Dai Ninh Pass, Phan Son Commune, a serious landslide occurred. A large amount of soil, rocks and grass fell down, covering the road surface for about 30m. Cars and motorbikes could not pass through the landslide site and had to queue up.

The functional forces including the Traffic Police Department (Provincial Police), Project Management Board No. 5 - Vietnam Road Administration, along with the police and militia of Phan Son and Ta Hine communes mobilized vehicles to clean up and fix the landslide.
