The embankment landslide occurred at around 12:30 on October 23 during heavy rain. At that time, the construction unit at 22 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia was drilling piles.

According to the leader of Ward 10 People’s Committee, the landslide embankment is about 16 meters long, was built a long time ago, and has seriously degraded. The landslide did not cause any human casualties, but damaged a car below, and knocked down a motorbike…

About 16 m long embankment was eroded.

After the landslide occurred, the authorities and the People's Committee of Ward 10 blocked off the scene, forced the construction to stop, and cleared some land above the embankment to reduce the load to prevent further landslides, in order to ensure the safety of people and property.

According to people living in the Khoi Nghia Bac Son street area, from about 11am on October 23rd, this area experienced very heavy rain.
