At noon on November 19, the authorities decided to completely stop all vehicles from passing through Song Pha Pass (also known as Ngoan Muc Pass, National Highway 27 connecting Lam Dong - Khanh Hoa ). Specifically, from around 12 noon on November 19, vehicles were banned from passing through this pass due to the appearance of many new landslides and cracks on the positive and negative slopes.

Along with the closure of Song Pha Pass, many other mountain passes are also in a state of emergency. On Mimosa Pass (National Highway 20, gateway to Da Lat), a long section of negative slope was determined to be seriously damaged, and construction workers had to work all night from November 18 to reinforce it. In addition, landslides on mountain passes such as Khanh Le Pass and D'Ran Pass have forced many trucks and passenger cars to change their routes and suffer great losses in expenses.
This situation is having a major impact on the transportation of goods, tourism and people's travel. A driver who specializes in transporting vegetables from Da Lat said that in recent days, due to landslides, the pass has been closed, the route has been constantly changed... fuel costs and time have increased. The agricultural service cooperative in Da Lat also informed that goods and vegetables are difficult to export on time due to interrupted routes.

Not only the road traffic system is affected, the sea route from Phan Thiet to Phu Quy Island must also be temporarily suspended. According to the announcement on the morning of November 19 from the functional sector of Lam Dong province, high-speed boats such as Trung Trac will stop operating from November 19 to November 26; two other high-speed boats, Superdong Phu Quy I and Superdong Phu Quy II, will stop from November 20 to November 22 due to large waves, strong winds of level 6-7, and waves up to 4m high, making passenger transportation unsafe.
According to Lam Dong province leaders, closing most of the important mountain passes and stopping high-speed trains at this time means that the trade of goods from the highlands to the plains, from the mainland to the islands is stagnant; transportation costs increase, travel time is extended, directly affecting people and businesses. However, in the face of increasingly difficult natural disasters, ensuring the safety of people and vehicles is extremely urgent.

Currently, functional units are mobilizing forces and machinery to fix and divert traffic and closely monitor weather and geological developments to ensure safety. Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee is directing relevant functional branches to quickly find measures to handle incidents quickly to ensure traffic on the mountain passes.
