Muong Lat supported to repair 57 houses damaged by storms

Forces support people of Trung Ly commune to repair houses with blown-off roofs.

Previously, a widespread thunderstorm and heavy rain in Muong district on the evening of April 18 damaged dozens of houses and blew off their roofs, fortunately there were no casualties. Trung Ly commune was the most severely affected with 1 house collapsed, 2 houses completely blown off their roofs, and 3 houses with over 50% of their roofs blown off.

Muong Chanh commune has 10 houses, Pu Nhi 3 houses, Tam Chung 9 houses, Nhi Son 9 houses, Quang Chieu 19 houses and Muong Lat town 7 houses with roofs less than 30% damaged.

Immediately after the storm occurred, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Muong Lat district coordinated with communes and towns to grasp the situation, visit, encourage and mobilize forces to support the relocation of assets, overcome the consequences and stabilize the accommodation for affected households.
