In a statement, Mr. Blinken emphasized that the US is committed to protecting Ukraine against Russia's military campaign and that Washington will deploy a new support package as quickly as possible, according to AFP.
The new support package includes ammunition and support for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), cluster munitions, Javelin anti-tank missiles and other weapons. It also includes spare parts, auxiliary equipment, services, training and transportation.
Is the war in Ukraine coming to an end?
Mr Blinken reiterated Washington's support for Kyiv, adding: "The United States and the international coalition we have assembled will continue to stand with Ukraine."
Under US President Joe Biden, Washington has provided about $175 billion in military and economic assistance to Ukraine since Russia launched its military campaign in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
The upcoming US presidential election on November 5 could mark a change for Kyiv's key military backer.
HIMARS during a firing in Ukraine
Speaking at a campaign rally in North Carolina (USA) on September 25, former US President Donald Trump called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "perhaps the greatest salesman on earth".
"Every time he comes to our country, he leaves with $60 billion," Trump said of President Zelensky. The Ukrainian leader is in the United States to attend the United Nations General Assembly, but has no plans to meet with Trump, according to CNN.
"We're going to be stuck in that war unless I'm president," Trump said. He has previously vowed to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict within 24 hours without explaining how, according to AFP.
