Days after a heated "encounter" between US President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office, Washington is now suspending all aid to Kiev.

Reuters news agency reported that the above information was confirmed by a White House official on March 3, according to which Washington is pausing and reviewing the aid package to ensure that this package actually contributes to solving the problem.
“This is not a permanent end to aid, it is just a pause,” a Trump administration official told Fox News .
According to sources from Bloomberg and Fox News , the pause will last until President Trump sees goodwill towards peace from the Ukrainian leadership.
According to Bloomberg , all US military equipment that has not yet been delivered to Ukraine will be halted, including weapons being transported on planes, ships or waiting at transit areas in Poland.
Mr. Trump reportedly instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to implement the pause order.
Since Mr. Trump won the US election on November 5, 2024, Ukraine and many European allies have repeatedly expressed concerns that the new owner of the White House will cut aid to Kiev.
The news came just hours after President Trump said he had never discussed suspending military aid to Ukraine, but said Zelensky "should be more grateful" for the support from Washington.
Meanwhile, on the same day, the Ukrainian President still expressed confidence that the country's long-term partnership with the United States is strong enough for Washington to continue supporting Kiev and maintaining the flow of aid despite the recent strained relationship with Mr. Trump.
Asked by reporters to comment on the main features of the new European initiative to end the conflict, President Zelensky said: “An agreement to end the conflict is still very, very far away and no one has taken all these steps. The peace we see in the future must be fair, honest and, most importantly, sustainable.”
However, commenting on President Zelensky's statement, Mr. Trump called it a "terrible" statement and the United States "will not tolerate it much longer."
