When it comes to the key education of Mai Son district, we cannot fail to mention Mai Son High Quality Secondary School. As a typical educational unit of the district, in order to improve the quality of key education, in addition to promoting the emulation movement "Teach well, learn well", every year, the school sets out a methodical plan to train and develop students.
Teacher Dao Van Nam, Principal of the school, shared: With the motto "Maintaining quantity through quality", the school directs the application of active teaching techniques, focusing on students, and innovating professional activities in the direction of lesson research. Teachers are encouraged to write topics and initiatives on management and teaching, many of which are recognized as grassroots initiatives. During the school year, the school organizes teaching demonstrations to help teachers improve their professional qualifications. The school always arranges all training processes scientifically . Thanks to that, in the 2022-2023 school year, the school won 65 district-level excellent student awards and 16 provincial-level awards.

In the 2022-2023 school year, Mai Son district had 145/183 students winning prizes at the Provincial Excellent Secondary School Student Competition, an increase of 14 prizes compared to the 2021-2022 school year; at the high school level, 71/95 students won prizes; there was 1 project winning fourth prize in the Science and Technology Competition for high school students. This is the third consecutive year that Mai Son district has firmly maintained its position in the top three leading units in the province in the Provincial Excellent Student Competition.
