Improve the operational efficiency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Events

Comrade Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Behavior, chaired the meeting. In the first 6 months of 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Affairs have seriously grasped and promptly implemented the resolutions and directives of the Party, the conclusions of the General Secretary , Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Negative Affairs. The Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee, directly and regularly led by the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Affairs; the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and the Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee have closely, resolutely and comprehensively led and directed the work of anti-corruption and negative affairs; the efforts and responsibilities in coordinating and organizing the implementation of tasks of the members of the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee promptly issued the 2024 Work Program and organized the implementation according to the set plan; promptly announced the conclusions of inspections and supervisions; Continue to direct the strengthening of inspection, supervision and audit work to detect and handle corruption and negativity in the area. Party committees, Party organizations, departments, branches and sectors, especially functional agencies, have been active, proactive, and closely coordinated in inspection, examination, investigation, prosecution and trial to detect violations for effective handling, especially in handling cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee. The member agencies of the Steering Committee have coordinated well in promoting their advisory role, proposing, organizing and completing a number of tasks to help the Steering Committee's activities become more orderly and effective.

In the last 6 months of 2024, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities proposed that the Steering Committee set out 05 groups of key tasks and solutions to improve the work of preventing and combating corruption and negative activities in the province, contributing to maintaining political stability, ensuring national defense, security and socio-economic development. In particular, pay special attention to a number of contents: Improve the operational efficiency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities. The Steering Committee and members of the Steering Committee focus on directing the inspection, supervision and urging of anti-corruption and negative activities at Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units according to the assigned tasks of the Steering Committee and the proposed programs and plans to ensure quality, efficiency and progress. Continue to direct the verification, investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of sentences in cases; Handle serious, complicated economic corruption and negative cases that are of public concern, especially those cases and cases that have been monitored and directed by the Steering Committee. Continue to review, monitor and direct newly discovered corruption and negative cases and cases. Coordinate with relevant agencies, advise the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to lead, direct, review, evaluate and reclassify collectives and individuals at the time of shortcomings and violations. Reassign cadres after being disciplined according to regulations.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity basically agreed with the presented contents. The meeting focused on discussing, analyzing, contributing ideas, and clarifying a number of issues that need attention and direction.

Concluding the meeting, the Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity highly appreciated the results achieved in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity in the province in the first 6 months of 2024. At the same time, he requested that Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, departments, branches and unions of the province in the coming time continue to promote the achieved results, overcome existing shortcomings and limitations, especially closely follow the direction of the Central Steering Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity to continue to lead and direct the efforts to excellently complete the political tasks in 2024.
